(REHOBOTH BEACH, Del.)- Today was the last day to get your taxes filed, without an extension you're going to have to dish out more money for those unpaid taxes.
Many people at the Rehoboth Beach Post Office were mailing their taxes and extensions earlier today.
"I start worrying about it in January and figuring out who I owe and how I'm going to pay it," said Greg Cox, Rehoboth Beach resident.
"Actually I just sent my extension," said Marco Rocha, Rehoboth Beach resdient. "Because I always wait to the last minute and I could not get all my papers together "
According to the Tax Foundation, Americans will pay more than $4.8 trillion in federal and state taxes. That organization says, Delaware residents will have to work until April 20th this year, longer than ever, just to cover what they owe.
