Travel Deals for Future Vacation Plans

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - The COVID-19 crisis has put a hold on many travel plans for people across Delmarva, but travel plans do not have to be cancelled completely.

Accent on Travel owner, Annette Stellhorn says airlines and cruises have great offers on the table for future travel plans, allowing travelers to re-book for 2021. "And if they re-book, the tour operators and cruiselines are giving them up to 25% additional funding," says Stellhorn.

Prices for both flights and cruises are also lower.

"We're seeing cruiselines going from 25 percent to 35 percent less than they usually would be this time of year, for next year. We're seeing airlines, we just had a honeymoon couple for next year, and one week was $1,800 and the next was $800. So we're looking at less than 50 percent on these airlines," says Stellhorn.

Accent on Travel is also working on re-bookings and refunds.

"If you don't have anything planned and you're sitting at home, it's time to dream, and think about where you want to go … hang in there, we'll be there when this is all done and we'll help you make your dreams come true," adds Stellhorn.

And for those heading to Delaware beaches this summer, Jack Lingo Realtor is still offering summer vacation rentals. Rental Manager Kristina Lingo says property owners have been flexible with renters.

"We're assisting clients checking in between now and May 15th, which is in relation to the Governor's modification to the state emergency. Those guests, they have been really receptive. Because a lot of us are really all in this together, and we are really working with them on  a case by case basis and offering them future credit to come back down at an appropriate time."

Once the restrictions have been lifted, Lingo says she expects a lot of phone calls from clients wanting to come visit the shore.

The realtor agency is following the restrictions that have been put in place by state and local governments, and wants to remind guests to check the CDC website and https://www.jacklingo.com/ for updates.
