UPDATE: Arrests Made In Wicomico County Puppy Mill Investigation

(SALISBURY, Md.)- There's an update in the Wicomico County Puppy Mill Investigation that occurred at home on 5000 Cooper Road, Eden.

On 11 July 2016 at 1100 AM, deputies from the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office arrested Susan Marie Murphy and Robert Holliday Murphy following an investigation into an incident of animal cruelty on their property on Cooper Road in Eden, MD.

Lt. Tim Robinson, of Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, told WRDE 200 dogs were found inside a barn, while more were found inside the home.

Lt. Robinson said crews were working from 10 a.m. to midnight on the day of the incident to remove the dogs. WRDE is told most of the rescued dogs were Pomeranians, and are not in good condition.

An online crowdsourcing, donation page has been set up for the Humane Society, as they work to care for the more than 300 dogs.

There will be a Press Conference at the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office at 2:00 PM regarding this case.
