(Selbyville, Del) Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash this morning west of Selbyville. The accident happened on Cypress Road when a SUV failed to negotiate a sharp curve, and ran off the road. The vehicle overturned on the driver's side before colliding with a tree. The driver, Daniel A. Vargas, 30 of Salisbury, Maryland was killed, and his passenger Enrique Castillo-Muniz, 25 also of Salisbury, Maryland was seriously injured. State Police flew the Castillo-Muniz to Christiana Medical Center where he is listed in serious condition. Police believe speed and wet roads may have been a factor in the crash.
