Jerry joined the Air Force after High School graduation and served 4 years including the last year in Viet Nam. After his discharge, he joined the New York Fire Department and served 20 years at which time he had to take medical retirement. He was already retired on 9-11 but went to Ground Zero the day after and spent months there. He also served as Chief of Silver Lake Fire Dept in Middletown NY.
