VegRehoboth Kicks Off a Season of Plant-Powered Fun
- Updated
VegRehoboth is bringing a fresh lineup of events to the coast this fall, celebrating all things plant-based. The festivities begin October 26 with VegFallFest at the Lewes Public Library. Guests can enjoy live music, vendors, and mouthwatering plant-based food while learning from inspiring speakers: 9:30 AM – “Our Oceans and Us” with Rob Rector from MERR, celebrating 25 years of marine education and rehabilitation. 10:30 AM – “Lawn and Garden Biodiversity” with Master Naturalist Gregg Woolston, who will share how native plants can transform your yard into an eco-friendly haven. 11:30 AM – “Cooking with Umami” featuring Chef Hari Cameron, exploring flavorful, protein-packed plant-based cooking. The learning continues at 1:00 PM, when nutrition experts Dorothy Greet and Rich Ferrandino share their “Top 10 Reasons to Go Veg.” The season continues with the VegFilmFest (Nov. 20–22) at the Cinema Art Theater, showcasing films that highlight how plant-based living benefits our health, the environment, and animals. Then on Nov. 24, ThanksLiving returns for a joyful celebration of compassion and gratitude. As the only local organization dedicated to promoting the three pillars of vegan living - health, the environment, and love for animals - leaders at VegRehoboth say they continue to inspire Delmarva to “Go Veg” in a fun, inclusive way.
