World-Famous Musicians and Delmarva Artists Attend 9th Annual Jazz and Arts Festival

(SELBYVILLE, Del.) - Talented artists across Delmarva and world-famous musicians make special appearances at the 9th Annual Jazz and Arts Festival at the Freeman Stage.

Patti Grimes, Executive Director of the Joshua M. Freeman Foundation tells WRDE, "It's really to celebrate great visual artists combined with performing artists and to bring jazz to the stage in a way that's delightful and welcoming to so many people.

The event features performances by the Joe Baione Sextet, Steve Fidyk, and Vanessa Rubin.

Artists like Delaware's own John Donato come to showcase their masterpieces every year. "I've been coming to this event for about 4-5 years now. It's a wonderful event, I love it. I put it on my calendar every year. I'm showing all of my original acrylic paintings, they're mostly whimsical, very fun, fits the event," says Donato.

Festival-goer, Amanda Burke, says she drove down from Philadelphia to attend the festival and won't be leaving empty handed. "It's been really successful so far. I haven't even been to all the places yet and I've already gotten some gifts, so hopefully we'll find some more stuff."

The 9th Annual Jazz and Arts Festival is sponsored by 'Delaware by Hand," a non-profit organization based out of Dover.
