(WYOMING, Del.)-Fast moving flames gutted a Wyoming, Delaware home, displacing a family of three Saturday afternoon.
Fire officials say the Camden-Wyoming Fire Company responded just before 2 p.m. They found thick black smoke billowing from a room on the first floor of a two-story home on Front Street.
Firefighters say electrical extension cords sparked the flame. Reports show there were no active smoke alarms.
Three people and several dogs were able to escape, but one person suffered second degree burns to his hand. He was treated at Kent General Hospital in Dover.
The Delaware State Fire Marshal's Office says the fire caused an estimated $75,000 in damage.
The family was able to receive aid from the American Red Cross.
