It's starting to get busy down here along the coast and that means it is easy to miss a story here and there, with that in mind this is your Week In Review:
Monday:Â The first and only home in Sussex County for young adults experiencing homelessness or aging out of foster care officially opened Monday in Harrington.
The facility, a former bed and breakfast, now includes 10 private rooms, each equipped with a closet and bathroom. The residence is designed for individuals between the ages of 18 and 23.
Tuesday:Â The City of Milford this week approved the installation of a new red light camera system. The decision follows a Delaware Department of Transportation study that identified multiple intersections in the area as high-crash locations.
Wednesday: On Wednesday, COAST TV continued its coverage of District 20 Rep. Stell Parker Selby, who has yet to appear for a single legislative vote this year. Anchor Madeleine Overturf attempted to speak with House Speaker Melissa Minor-Brown, but the effort was declined.
Thursday:Â On Thursday, Delaware Democrats introduced legislation that would limit school resource officers and school constables from cooperating with federal immigration authorities. The bill would require permission from the Delaware Attorney General before any cooperation could take place.
Friday: The skies over Ocean City were filled with aircraft Friday as preparations began for the weekend’s air show. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday, drawing visitors to the beach for the annual aerial display.
