"Back the Blue" Caravan

Starting Tuesday, May 13, three separate caravans will honor police departments on different days and routes.

DELAWARE - The seventh annual “Back the Blue” caravan started rolling through Sussex County this week, with community members coming together to show appreciation for local law enforcement across three major roadways.

Starting Tuesday, May 13, three separate caravans will honor police departments on different days and routes:

  • Tuesday: Route 1

  • Wednesday: Route 113

  • Thursday: Route 13

Each day's event begins at 10 a.m. and is expected to wrap up between noon and 1 p.m. The rolling tribute provides an opportunity for people to line the roads, wave flags and show gratitude to the men and women who serve in law enforcement across the region.
