Deadly crash

Conrail Road, Wilson Farm Road and Cannon Road were shut down for about three and a half hours.

BRIDGEVILLE, Del.- Delaware State Police have identified 27-year-old Devin Flamer of Bridgeville as the man who died in a deadly single-car crash on July 12 near Bridgeville.

According to investigators, the crash happened around 5 a.m. when a Buick Century was heading south on Wilson Farm Road toward Cannon Road at what troopers described as an apparent high rate of speed. The Buick failed to stop at a stop sign, left the east side of Conrail Road, re-entered the road, spun clockwise, crossed the west side of Conrail Road, hit a concrete barrier and overturned.

Police say, Flamer, who was not properly restrained, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Conrail Road, Wilson Farm Road and Cannon Road were shut down for about three and a half hours as troopers investigated and cleared the area.
