LEWES, De- Both the Cape Henlopen boy's and girl's basketball team earned wins on the first night of the 2022 Slam Dunk To The Beach.
The boy's game with Academy at Palumbo School went to overtime as Cape tied it in the closing seconds. The Vikings outscored Palumbo 13-7 in the extra session to pull out a 66-60 win. Junior Tyron Tolson led Cape with 29 points.
Earlier in the night, the girl's defeated West Catholic 51-33. Faith Re scored 15 points, Mya Maull 13, and Ja'Onna Lee 12.
