SLAUGHTER BEACH, Del. - The Delaware Department of Transportation has announced the closure of the Cedar Creek Drawbridge Thursday morning.
The department says the drawbridge, located on Cedar Creek Road, will be closed for cars and trucks on Sept. 28 from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. for utility relocation work. They note the bridge will still be open to boat traffic.
According to the department, signs will be posed both at Argo's Corner and the Route 36/Route 1 overpass. A detour will be posted.
Earlier this summer, the department repaired a nearby bridge and proposed a replacement of this bridge.
