SNOW HILL, Md. - The Coast Health & Wellness Fair is back on Wednesday, May 14, offering free health screenings, fitness demonstrations and community resources from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Worcester County Recreation Center.
Hosted by Worcester County Recreation & Parks, this year’s event centers around the theme “Women’s Health.” Onsite providers will offer a variety of free health screenings, including checks for breast cancer, bone density, blood pressure, body composition, A1C levels and functional movement.
“We are thrilled to announce the upcoming Health Fair, a resource-filled event, dedicated to promoting health and wellness in our community,” said WCRP Program Manager Kyle Jarmon. “The fair will feature many health screenings, fitness demos, and much more all designed to inspire a healthier lifestyle.”
More than 30 health and wellness partners are expected to participate, including CareFirst, Worcester County Health Department, Atlantic General Hospital, and Tidal Health. The Blood Bank of Delmarva will also host a blood drive during the event.
Healthcare providers will issue signed notes for attendees who participate in one or more health screenings. Organizers hope the notes will help those needing time off from work or other obligations to attend.
