Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery with ICE impersonators.

MILTON, Del. - Delaware State Police issue caution to public after investigating an armed robbery in Milton. The two suspects were impersonating ICE officers when they pulled over and robbed the victim. 

According to Delaware State Police, on Saturday, June 28, two masked individuals wearing vests labelled "ICE" on them pulled over a civilian in Milton. The situation quickly escalated as the two assailants pulled the victim out of his car, pointing a knife at his side and aiming a gun at his face. After taking the victim's wallet, a suspect struck him in the face before the two drove off in their car. 

The victim was travelling along Burton Road in the area of Sand Hill in Milton when he was pulled over. After the two suspects fled, the victim was taken to an area hospital to treat the injury to his face, said police.

The Delaware State Police continue to investigate the incident as surveillance and images are not yet available. Officials have issued caution as the two suspects are possibly impersonating law enforcement. Turn on flashers and stop in well-lit areas, look for uniforms and vehicles with official markings, identify any "plain" looking clothing, pay attention to what they are asking, and trust your instincts and call 911 if you have any doubts.
