SEAFORD, Del.- The Delaware State Police apprehended 42-year-old Tracy Wagner of Laurel on charges of felony assault stemming from a domestic incident that transpired on Thursday morning in Seaford.
On December 21 at approximately 10:35 a.m., troopers promptly responded to a home situated on North Street in Seaford, following a report of an assault. During the ensuing investigation, authorities say they uncovered that Tracy Wagner had returned to her ex-boyfriend's residence on Thursday morning, despite being explicitly instructed by troopers the previous night that she was not authorized to be on the premises.
Upon her unauthorized arrival, police say Wagner engaged in a confrontation by loudly knocking on the door. Subsequently, her ex-boyfriend requested that she vacate the property. However, instead of complying, according to troopers Wagner escalated the situation by deploying pepper spray into the residence, striking a 62-year-old resident inside. Following this incident, police say Wagner escaped in an unidentified gray vehicle after taking her ex-boyfriend's car keys from his running vehicle in the driveway.
Troopers made efforts to locate Wagner, including checking her residence, but were unable to locate her at that time. Consequently, a warrant was swiftly secured for her arrest. Later on the same day, Tracy Wagner voluntarily surrendered herself at Troop 5. It was at this juncture that she faced formal charges. Wagner subsequently appeared for arraignment before Justice of the Peace Court 2 and was subsequently released on a $7,250 unsecured bond.
The charges brought against Tracy Wagner include:
- Assault Second Degree (Felony) - 2 counts
- Theft under $1,500
- Disorderly Conduct
- Criminal Trespass Third Degree
