The Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division is handling the investigation.

MARYLAND- Maryland State Police are asking for the public’s help identifying two people connected to an ongoing identity theft and fraud investigation.

According to police, a person living in Worcester County filed a complaint at the Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack on March 3, alleging their credit card information had been stolen and used fraudulently. The stolen information was used to purchase about $1,600 worth of items at a Target store in Rockville.

The Maryland State Police Criminal Enforcement Division is handling the investigation. Detectives reviewed security footage and obtained photos showing the two alleged thieves leaving the Target located at 5700 Bou Avenue on both March 2 and March 3.

Anyone who recognizes the individuals or has information that could help investigators is urged to contact the Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack.
