WICOMICO COUNTY, Md. — A portion of Mill Branch Road south of Mardela Springs is temporarily closed as crews work to replace a pipe, according to a statement from Wicomico County Executive Julie Giordano.
The closure affects the area between 9103 and 8810 Mill Branch Road. Officials said the shutdown is necessary to allow for an emergency pipe replacement in the area.
The road closure is expected to be short-term. According to Giordano's office, they hope to have the roadway reopened later this afternoon, depending on how quickly the work is completed.
Drivers are encouraged to avoid the area and seek alternate routes until the road reopens.
