LEWES, Del. - A Milton man has been arrested and charged with multiple sex offenses involving a girl under the age of 13, following a month-long investigation by the Lewes Police Department.
According to a press release from Chief Thomas R. Spell, the investigation began in May 2025 after the Division of Family Services alerted authorities to allegations involving a young girl. Lewes Police detectives, with help from the Delaware Department of Justice and forensic interviewers from the Children’s Advocacy Center, identified Kevin T. Boyer, 50, as the accused.

Investigators say the crimes occurred between 2016 and 2021, when Boyer lived in Lewes and shared a residence with the victim. At the time, the child was between 7 and 12 years old said police.
Boyer was arrested June 6 and charged with the following:
Sexual abuse of a child by a person in a position of trust, 1st degree (Class A felony)
Continuous sexual abuse of a child (Class B felony)
Unlawful sexual conduct against a child by a sex offender (Class B felony)
Sexual abuse of a child by a person in a position of trust, 2nd degree (Class D felony)
Attempted sexual abuse of a child by a person in a position of trust, 2nd degree (Class D felony)
Endangering the welfare of a child (Class G felony)
Boyer was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court No. 2 and was committed to the Delaware Department of Correction in default of $242,000 bail.
