LEWES, Del. - Drivers in the Lewes area should prepare for nighttime lane closures and a new traffic pattern in Lewes as the Delaware Department of Transportation begins the final phase of the Route 24 intersection improvements at Angola Road and Robinsonville Road.

The project is set to start on Sunday, April 21, and continue through Sunday, May 19. Work will occur nightly from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Route 24, Angola Road and Robinsonville Road. Crews will complete milling, overlay and apply final striping and signage during this final stretch of the project.

DelDOT reminds motorists to slow down in work zones and expect minor delays while traveling through the area.
