OCEAN CITY, Md. — The Ocean City Surf Club is remembering Tommy Vach, who the organization says had a significant impact on the club, local youth and the ocean community.
“The Ocean City Surf Club would not be what it is without Tommy Vach,” the club said. The organization remembered Vach for his “infectious energy, huge smile, and giving nature.” The club said his death in early June was a shock. “Tommy was the best of humanity. We miss him deeply,” the club said. “His impact was significant on the youth, our ocean community, and beyond.”

The club also highlighted the relationship Vach built with OCBP and said he put his “heart and soul” into the organization. “He accomplished so much to help others,” the club said. “His legacy will live on in all of us.”
The Ocean City Surf Club is encouraging people to leave messages about Vach and make donations in his honor. The organization said donations will be used to help keep its programs going and vibrant. “He was and will always be our buoy in the storm,” the club said.
The organization asks donors to note in the donation description that the contribution is being made in Tommy’s honor.
