REHOBOTH BEACH HOMES

Property owners in Rehoboth Beach will likely keep their current tax rate if city commissioners approve its recommendation.

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del — City officials in Rehoboth Beach are expected to keep the real estate tax rate unchanged for the upcoming fiscal year. The proposal, which will be formally considered by City Commissioners on Friday, would set the tax rate at $0.0775 per $100 of assessed value for the tax year beginning July 1, 2025, and ending June 30, 2026.

The decision aligns with the fiscal year 2026 budget, which was adopted on March 21 and includes no increase to the real estate tax rate. Based on the current assessment, the city expects to generate $2,661,824.70 in revenue from real estate taxes. Rehoboth Beach’s total assessed property value stands at $3.4 billion.
