SALISBURY, Md.- A longtime K9 officer with the Salisbury Police Department is retiring after six years of service to the community.
K9 Bolt, who was paired with handler Cpl. Denny, is stepping down after a career defined by teamwork, discipline, and reliability. The agency notes the duo forged a strong partnership focused on protecting residents and supporting diverse investigations.
During his time on the force, K9 Bolt also assisted multiple law enforcement agencies beyond Salisbury. Police say his work helped support numerous cases and contributed to public safety efforts over the years.
The department also recognized the support of Cpl. Denny’s family, noting the long hours, early mornings and unpredictable calls that come with the job.
