SELBYVILLE, Del. - The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating a fire that happened in Selbyville Saturday morning that destroyed a commercial storage building.
The office says the fire happened right before 4 a.m. in the unit block of Mason Dr. near the Delaware-Maryland state line. The Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company arrived to the building with flames engulfing the Red Sun Custom Apparel shop. Neighboring mutual aid fire companies also responded to assist Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company with suppression operations.
The office says state fire investigators are searching for what caused the fire and where it started. No one was in the building when the fire was found.
The office says fire damage is expected to exceed $750,000. There were no reported injuries.
