REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. - A Pepsi semi truck tipped over on Route 1 near the Wawa in Rehoboth Beach early Monday afternoon, shutting down a section of the southbound highway.

According to the Rehoboth Beach Fire Company, the crash happened around 12:55 p.m. near 20184 Coastal Highway when the truck struck a cable line and overturned. The accident took place near the Wawa convenience store.

Route 1 south was closed between Shuttle Road and the Big Fish Restaurant for about two hours. Heavy wreckers were at the scene working to upright the semi truck.
