According to the Maryland Department of Natural Recourses Maryland has lifted the statewide ban on outdoor burning that was put in place to prevent wildfires.

The fire occurred in a driveway on Whitehall Drive off of Route 1 between Lewes and Milton.
The restaurant on Stephen Decatur Highway shared that "a massive fire" during storms Monday night and Tuesday morning destroyed its inside and part of a side building.
Spring wildfire season has begun as forest fuels are the driest at this time and weather conditions are warm, dry, and windy. Instead of burning outdoor debris, the Maryland Forest Service recommends using it for composting or mulching yard waste, leaves, and brush.
Over 45 firefighters responded to the fire, which the Office of the State Fire Marshal says completely destroyed the house and caused over $800,000 in damages.
