A Severe Thunderstorm Watch in place for all of Delaware until 10 p.m. Storms could produce damaging winds and hail. Coastal flooding is also a concern in Sussex County, where up to a foot of water may impact tidal roads and back bays due to an onshore flow and new moon. After the storms, a complex frontal pattern sets up through early next week, bringing shifting temperatures, intermittent rain chances, and elevated humidity levels before high pressure returns by midweek.

Clouds, cool temperatures, and the chance of scattered showers will dominate Delmarva’s Father’s Day forecast as a stalled front lingers near the region. Unsettled conditions will continue into early next week before a midweek warm-up sets the stage for possible severe storms Thursday. A return to sunny, dry weather is expected by Friday.

Delmarva will experience a fair and dry weekend as strong high pressure dominates through Sunday. Increasing clouds Sunday will usher in a shift toward unsettled weather, with potential for showers and Sunday night into Monday. Temperatures will rise into the 50s and 60s early next week ahead of a cold front, followed by another low-pressure system later in the week.
