An investigation is ongoing after a fire was set intentionally outside a duplex in Queen Anne's County. The Maryland State Fire Marshal says the fire happened while people were still inside the building.

At 6:36pm Thursday night, Laurel Fire Department as well as Blades Volunteer Fire Company and Sussex County EMS were dispatched to the scene. This fire has left dozens of people without a home but the community is responding quickly to help them.
On Wednesday, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company received a call at 11:52 A.M. to respond to the Lingo Creek Apartments. When they arrived a fire at the outside of the building was starting to ease up thanks to sprinklers.
