An upcoming free lecture will explore Fort Miles’s role in World War II-era artillery and missile testing.
The Fort Miles Historical Association will host a free lecture on the Berlin Airlift and its role in the early Cold War on Jan. 17 at the Fort Miles Museum.
During the annual ceremony held by the Fort Miles Historical Association, 774 Delawareans who lost their lives in World War II were honored, with a reading of Gen. Douglas MacArthur's surrender speech and a ceremonial honor guard present.
