DE...

At 1105 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from Woodland Beach to near Cross
Ledge Light to near Slaughter Beach, moving east at 15 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Overfalls Shoal, Fortesque Beach, Brown Shoal Light, Sea Breeze,
Fourteen Foot Bank Light, Slaughter Beach, Bowers Beach, Woodland
Beach, Miah Maull Light, Ship John Shoal Light, Brandywine Shoal
Light, and Cross Ledge Light.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher
waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor
immediately until these storms pass.

Report severe weather to the Coast Guard or nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
West Central Sussex County in southern Delaware...

* Until 215 AM EDT.

* At 1025 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms, producing
heavy rain, were moving into the warned area. Up to 3.5 inches of
rain have already fallen across this same area the last couple of
hours. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that may experience flash flooding include...
Seaford, Blades and Bethel.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most
flood deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
