The proposal for the reforestation was brought up in Monday nights Mayor and City Council Public Hearing for the city of Lewes. In the meeting, the plan to turn all roughly 20 acres of the currently city owned land into preserved land.

On Friday morning, the Lewes Board of Elections (BOE) could decide to cancel the municipal election scheduled for May 11. The election is to determine the two city council seats that carry with it a three year term.
