Starting Oct. 1, Marylanders with developmental or intellectual disabilities will have the option to add a butterfly symbol to their driver’s license, state ID or moped permit, thanks to a new law known as Eric’s ID Law.

The Worcester County Health Department is partnering up with the Maryland Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Administration to encourage teens to make healthy choices by giving them a Teen Health Bag. The bag includes freebies and information inside that is given to teens when passing their driving test.
