Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, PwC US Consulting LLP, and Tiber Health Public Benefit Corporation submitted bids to partner with Delaware to create its first four-year medical school aimed at addressing statewide physician shortages.
Delaware has been awarded $157 million for rural healthcare access in Sussex and Kent counties, with plans for initiatives such as a potential medical school and Rural Hope Centers for holistic care services.
Governor Moore says another unique element of the program includes infrastructure investments to support small farms and bring more fresh, healthy food into rural markets and grocery stores.
