It was the trial of the century, answering a question for the ages: Is Santa Claus real or not? On Dec. 10, in a Georgetown courtroom, kids, fans and skeptics alike got a definitive answer: The jolly man in red is real. At least that was the ruling from Judge Peter Jones in Superior Court.
Dancing, singing and the joyous sound of Christmas caroling filled the air at the annual 'Caroling on the Circle' parade in Georgetown.
Georgetown's Caroling on the Circle was a success for participants, festival-goers and local food pantries. Thousands of people are estimated to have turned out for the 40th annual downtown holiday season celebration, which preceded the annual Christmas parade for the first time. Additionally, event organizers said nearly 15,000 nonperishable items have been collected so far this season.
