The Delaware Department of Agriculture has confirmed the presence of a box tree moth in New Castle County, marking the first time the invasive pest has been found in the area.

Lewes and Milton Fire Departments, along with Sussex County EMS, responded to a three car collision at Coastal Highway and Steamboat Landing Road on Sept. 3.
Police say the driver of the other involved car did not stop at a posted stop sign. The bus driver tried to swerve to avoid hitting the car, but was unable to do so.
According to Delaware State Police, one death has been confirmed and nine children from the bus were transported to an area hospital.
