Delmarva woke up this morning to a blanket of heavy, wet snow, with Kent and Sussex Counties, as well as the Eastern Shore, receiving 5 to 8 inches of accumulation. This wet snow, laden with water, makes for a challenging cleanup, especially when removing it from cars and driveways. While main roads are just wet, side streets and backroads are slushy. As temperatures rise over the next 24 hours, the snow will transition to rain. But the weather isn't done yet—later today, a new low pressure system will bring more rain, followed by a cold front, and a stormy weekend ahead.
