The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control reminds neighbors and visitors of the statewide open burn-ban that is set to return on May 1. 

Early Friday morning, the Indian River Volunteer Fire Company responded to a downed live electrical wire and grass fire on Friendship Road in Millsboro, safely securing the area and extinguishing the fire after the utility provider de-energized the wire.
