Terri Morrison's garden

Terri Morrison's garden in Milton.

MILTON, Del - A Milton woman is using her childhood hobby to make a difference in Sussex County by planting fruits and vegetables to donate to The Shepherd's Office.

Terri Morrison shared what will soon be sprouting up in her garden.

Tomatoes, blueberries, even catnip. All of it will be donated to The Shepherds Office in Georgetown.

"I want my food and my vegetables to go to the people that need to eat. Any one of us can end up this way," Morrison shared.

She is not alone with this project. She has Mitchell Weicksel, a volunteer with The Shepherds Office and a former dairy farmer.

"We'll go back to the olden days and this is what we're going to do to feed people. There's so many homeless people on the street," Weicksel said.

Morrison says her gardens provide more than just nutritious meals, she says they also create jobs as she works with people to care for the gardens.

She says she's more than happy to be able to provide.

"It means my heart and my soul."Ā

Fulfilling her purpose one garden bed at a time.
