BLADES, Del. - A Blades Volunteer Fire Company ambulance was involved in a car crash on Thursday, Aug. 6 on Brickyard Road east of Sussex Highway.

The fire company said the ambulance sustained front suspension damage after an impact involving the driver’s side front tire.

One ambulance crew member suffered minor injuries and was evaluated at a local medical facility. No injuries were reported among the people in the other car, according to the fire company. Everyone involved was evaluated at the scene, except for one crew member who was evaluated at a local medical facility.

The ambulance, B71, has been removed from service and is at a repair facility to determine the extent of the damage and what repairs are needed before it can return to service.
