Cape May-Lewes Ferry

James Salmon with the Delaware River and Bay Authority said the schedule changes are the result of "mechanical issues" with one of the ferry vessels.

LEWES, Del. - The Cape May-Lewes Ferry has modified its sailing schedule from Monday, July 6, through Monday, July 13, because of mechanical issues involving one of its vessels.

The Delaware River and Bay Authority announced that updated sailing schedules are available on the Cape May-Lewes Ferry website and through its call center and passengers with affected reservations are being notified by email.

James Salmon with the Delaware River and Bay Authority said the schedule changes are the result of "mechanical issues" with one of the ferry vessels.

"Our marine mechanics are working as quickly as possible to fix the issue and get her back on the run," Salmon said.

The authority has not announced when the vessel is expected to return to service. Travelers planning to use the ferry through July 13 should review the revised sailing schedule before departing for the terminal.
