LEWES, Del. - Jason Wilcox of Millsboro, who was involved in a car crash last year on Christmas Eve in Lewes, plead guilty to two counts of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and drug possession charges in Delaware Superior Court Oct. 4.

Wilcox was sentenced to 12 months of probation for these charges. However if he violates probation, he will serve four-and-a-half years in prison.

The accident on Christmas Eve occurred on Route 9 and Minos Conaway Road. The crash left three people dead. Wilcox was driving a car Lewes Police have said he stole.

In January, seven counts of leaving the scene of a crash causing injury or death were dropped. Mat Marshall with the Department of Justice says that the state plans to refile those charges, pending the investigation.
