NIL Deals approved for Delaware high school athletes.
DELAWARE - Delaware high school athletes can now sign name, image and likeness deals thanks to the approval of regulation 1030. This change allows athletes to earn money independently from their schools.
DIAA Director Dave Baylor highlighted the need for schools to quickly adapt and understand the new rules, which include prohibiting school-based collectives and requiring athletes to report NIL deals within 72 hours. This will be implemented mid-October.
