Delaware State Housing Authority

Federal funding assistance is available through early 2024, while state-funded assistance is ongoing.

DOVER, Del. - The three federal programs offered by the Delaware State Housing Authority are nearing the end of their allocated funding.

Programs offered by the state include:

  • The Delaware Mortgage Relief Program (DEMRP)
  • The Delaware Diamonds Home Loan
  • The Home Sweet Home Program

These programs have been launched by the Delaware State Housing Authority (DSHA) to address barriers to achieving and maintaining homeownership.

“Supporting homebuyers and homeowners is at the core of our agency’s mission,” said Eugene Young Jr., Director of DSHA. “We knew that these programs would eventually end and are incredibly proud of the impact we were able to have."

DSHA encourages Delawareans to apply now or explore other programs offered.

DEMRP is expected to exhaust funds by early 2024. Interested homeowners are encouraged to apply as quickly as possible through the application link.

DEMRP provides funding up to $50,000 for housing-related delinquencies such as:
