GEORGETOWN, Del.- The Delaware Women's Hall of Fame portrait gallery is now in Sussex County.
The exhibit is on display at Delaware Tech's Georgetown Campus for the rest of the year. Anyone can come and see the exhibit during normal business hours. The portraits were previously at the Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington.
This exhibit honors women from Delaware that have excelled in their fields. Inductees include recent DelDOT Secretary Jennifer Cohan, First Lady Dr. Jill Biden, and politicians like late Governor Ruth Ann Minner.
Campus Director Bobbi Barends says having the gallery at DelTech sets a great example, and one portrait means a lot to her-- that of her predecessor.
"Dr. Eliana Smith," she tells WRDE."She was and continues to be a huge mentor to me."
The gallery also includes a nomination section where you can write down who you'd like to see be a Hall of Fame inductee.
