4th Annual "Share Your Christmas" Event in Millsboro

MILLSBORO, Del. - Christmas came early Monday night for one Millsboro family. The Fraternal Order of Police Sussex County Lodge #2 held its 4th annual "Share Your Christmas" event.

Brantley Scott's reaction when opening his PS5 was priceless. This year's event came at a crucial time in the Scott family's lives.

"Back in July, my wife was diagnosed with Glioblastoma brain cancer, she was not able to work anymore. Thanks to everybody that is here they have helped out quite a bit," said Alex Scott.

FOP Sussex County Lodge #2 partnered with the Millsboro Fire Company, Lewes Fire Department, the Berlin Fire Company and elected officials for their annual charity event.

William Scott from the Berlin Fire Company came along to see his daughter-in law Jessica, and his son, Alex, who was also a member of the company.

"Also for my grandson is the reason we decided to show up tonight ... Jessie has been a very strong woman, and has real gone through quite a bit, and she's very deserving," said William.

On Monday, the FOP completed its goal of putting smiles on faces.

"These men and women have given so much to our community and other communities, and they can't stop and they're not going to stop," said Representative Ruth Briggs King.

The community helped make this Christmas one the Scott's will never forget.

"If it weren't for my family, everybody that's here the FOP lodge, everybody from the state, it would never happen for my son for Christmas this year and I really appreciate everybody. I really do," said Alex.
