Cool Things to Do This Weekend

DELAWARE/ MARYLAND- It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas on the coast.  Behind the Tanger Outlets Seaside the first SchellvileEnchanted Christmas Celebration. The village has a roller rink, games for kids, a light maze, and even a beer garden for the adults. This new Christmas attraction opens to the public Saturday, November 20 and runs until New Year's Eve.

 

In Ocean City, take your time enjoying the lights and decorations at Winterfest of Lights. This is the second year the fest is a walk-through light show. Stop and take pictures at the selfie stations while enjoying all the colors and displays around Northside Park.

"It just makes everybody feel good. Watching everybody with their families, kids, grandparents, all getting together and doing something that they've been doing for years or it's their first time.

It's just a wonderful sight," said Mayor of Ocean City, Rick Meehan.

Bring the whole family including any furry friends each Wednesday. The show runs every night, Wednesday through Sunday until New Year's Day.

FEEL GOOD FRIDAY

 

Winter Wonderfest drive-through light show returns to Hudson Fields Friday night.  Start off at the lark arch, and make your way through different light displays. Each year, proceeds go right back into the community. 

"This year we have a pretty big goal we want to raise 75 thousand dollars for our grant fund. Last year we were able to give away just over 50-thousand dollars to 13 different Sussex County charities. But we also want to raise about 100 thousand dollars to enable us to bring back our rink and our carnival next year," said Peter Briccotto, event director.

New this year, the Under the Sea exhibit and the Small Wonders Exhibit highlighting local landmarks. Don't forget your Christmas list because the ride ends with a visit to Santa.
