Non-Emergency Procedures Are Back At Beebe

LEWES, De – Elective surgical procedures requiring an overnight stay resumed this week at Beebe Healthcare. The health system announcing the number of hospitalized  COVID-19 patients had decreased enough to return to this policy. It was back on Sept. 14 Beebe announced it was putting a pause on these types of services because of a spike in COVID hospitalizations.

“This continues to be a very challenging time, although we are encouraged and hopeful that this downward trend in COVID hospitalizations will continue,” said David A. Tam, MD, MBA, CPHE, FACHE, President & CEO, Beebe Healthcare. “Beebe leadership remains committed to the healthcare needs of the community and to supporting Team Beebe needs as we move through this pandemic. Thanks for your continued support of Beebe and the hard-working team that makes this possible."

Beebe says it will continually monitor the virus, and make determinations as needed based on COVID hospitalization volume.
