DELMAR, Del. - A Sunday morning fire at the First Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ on North Second Street in Delmar caused an estimated $250,000 in damage, according to the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
State fire investigators say the fire was accidental and caused by an electrical malfunction inside the church. The Delmar Volunteer Fire Company responded to the call shortly after 3:00 a.m. and was on the scene for nearly three hours. There were no reported injuries.
