NEW YORK, N.Y. - As part of the 51st Annual Jefferson Awards, Draper Media family member and Lewes resident Mariah Calagione was honored Wednesday, Oct. 4, with the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Award for Outstanding Public Service Benefiting Local Communities.

The nonprofit has granted over $3.7 million to different local Delaware organizations that create housing, preserve natural beauty and support other nonprofits.

"Honoring service at the Jefferson Awards isn't just about celebrating individual achievements; it's about recognizing the collective power of giving back, inspiring positive change, and shaping a better world for all," said CEO of Multiplying Good Benita Fitzgerald Mosley.

Four other recipients of this award were Reverend Roland Gordon of California, Jenna Shaffer of Indiana, Luke Sharp of South Carolina and Michelle Vacha of Colorado. Their projects focused on supporting Alzheimer's patients, people with special needs and youth programs.
