REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. — A car ran through the wall at a Rehoboth Starbucks Monday morning after the driver mistakenly accelerated while pulling into a parking space, according to police.

The incident occurred around 11:43 a.m. at the Starbucks located at 19946 Coastal Highway. Investigators say the driver of a Lexus RX, an 82-year-old man from Milton, was attempting to park when he pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. The front of the vehicle then hit the building.

Photos from the scene show a large crack on the wall inside Starbucks, and creamers strewn about.

According to police, no one inside the coffee shop was injured, and the driver was also unhurt. He was cited for careless driving.
